Why use a VPN in Kenya

Using a premium VPN is generally a good idea no matter which country you are in, since it can protect you from spying and numerous other privacy threats. However, it’s more important than ever to use a VPN in Kenya due to the new laws passed in 2018 that allow the government to have much greater control over your internet connection.

Apart from security, a VPN can help you access geo-blocked services such as Netflix US (which has the highest amount of content) and BBC iPlayer. In essence, a VPN is used to simply grant you unrestricted and uncensored access to the internet.

The fleet of 200+ servers in 63+ countries might seem too modest, but it packs a punch. Plus, the company owns and operates all hardware itself. $2.00/month (after applying a PrivateVPN coupon) is pocket change for such a great service. You can also test the waters with the 7-day free trial version, available on the provider’s website. After that, subscribe with the ability to get a refund, thanks to the 30-day money-back guarantee.

Unfortunately there are more and more countries that fight their people instead of trying to represent them. A VPN is needed in countries like Kenya because some people just want to suppress freedom of speech.
