How to install Kodi on Fire Stick

Kodi is an integrated entertainment and media software. Initially, Kodi was an app for Xbox, but it now works on many different platforms. It started back in the early 2000s but was known as the Xbox Media Center. They later changed the name to Kodi.

It also works on Fire Stick. Kodi is completely free. The current version is called Krypton, but they are developing a new version called Leia that should be out soon. How To Install Kodi on Fire Stick: Step-by-Step Guide

ES Explorer

To install Kodi with ES File Explorer, the first step is to go into your Fire Stick/Fire TV settings.

Select My Fire TV. Then select Developer Options.
In the Developer Options, you want to enable ADB Debugging, and then find Apps from Unknown Sources and turn the feature on.
Back in the main setting screen, find Preferences. Turn off both Device Usage Data and Collect App Usage Data.
Next, you’ll need to install ES File Explorer. Go to the Amazon App store. Search using the phrase “ES File Explorer”. Once it pops up, click Download and then install the app.
The next step is to get Kodi 17.6 Krypton on Fire Stick. To do this, you need to open up the ES File Explorer app. Go to the menu and find the section called Tools. Go to Download Manager and click +New.
You should see a menu come up that will ask you about your path and network. Input https://www.firesticktricks.com/kapk as your Path and Kodi as your Name. Now hit the OK button. Lastly, press Download Now.

7. It shouldn’t take long to download. Once it is finished, hit Open File and click Install.

8. You’ll have to press Install again, after which the installation of the Kodi App will begin.

Kodi is now installed on your Fire device. It isn’t going to show up on the main screen. Instead, go to settings and find the Applications section. You’ll find Kodi under Managed Installed Applications. Click Launch.

Using ES Explorer is one of the easiest ways to install Kodi on Fire devices, but there are a couple alternatives as well.

FireDL

Like with ES Explorer you need to first make sure ADB Debugging and allow for Apps from Unknown Sources to be installed. You can do this in the Developer Options of your Fire Stick settings. It is under Device Options.
From the Amazon home page, go to the search bar. Search under the term “firedl.” When it comes up, press Fire DL and hit Get. Fire DL will start to download.
When you open FireDL, you will see a blank bar where you can type. There are a few codes that will work including:

kodi32 – Kodi 17.6 (ARM7) 32 Bit
kodi64 – Kodi 17.6 (ARM8) 64 Bit
573999 – DUREX WIZARD
033882 – Genesis reborn
316880 – Aura Skin Kodi 17.6

The download will start automatically. Once the download is complete, an installation screen will appear. Once all of this complete, you’ll have Kodi on your Fire device.

Apps2Fire

You can also install Kodi with apps2fire.

Download apps2fire on your Android phone. You can do this in the Google Play Store.
Now launch your Fire Stick. Again, you need to adjust the setting so that ADB Debugging and Apps From Unknown Sources are both turned on.
Install Kodi on your Android device. Again you can do this in the Play Store.
Launch apps2fire on your Android. It will run a scan and show you a list of your recent installs. When the scan is done, swipe left on the menu and click Setup.
Now launch your Fire device. Go to Settings. Then go to About. Click Network. Here you will find info about your network. Write down your IP address.
Back in app2fire, input the IP address you just wrote down. Now click Search Fire TV/Device.
You’ll see a tab that says Local Apps. Find Kodi. Hit the icon and choose Install.
It’ll take a few seconds but Kodi will start to upload to your Fire device. Apps2fire will notify you when the installation is complete. It could take a few minutes or longer depending on how fast your Internet is.

Why you need a VPN when using Kodi on Fire Stick
