Is Harry Potter on Netflix?

Now for the bad news: Harry Potter films are unavailable on Netflix US. In fact, you won’t find the movies in countless other foreign libraries either unless you know where to look. So, which countries have Harry Potter on Netflix in 2024? Australia and Italy!

Harry Potter not found on Netflix

Before you get all gloomy, we should add that we have found a way around these geo-restrictions, and you won’t need a magic wand. Instead, you’ll need something that isn’t fictional but can still teleport you to a different location – a VPN.

How can I watch Harry Potter movies on Netflix?

As we hinted previously, the spell is pretty simple – reliable VPN providers. This technology lets you virtually relocate to another country by connecting to a VPN server. Your IP address gets hidden and all internet traffic encrypted in the process, making it appear as if you’re in that region.

And once Netflix recognizes that you’re in the “correct” place, it instantly fetches you the appropriate library. The best thing is that you will not only be able to watch Harry Potter movies on Netflix but also stay private and anonymous online.

No third parties, including your Internet Service Provider (ISP), will be able to track your online movements. It also decreases the chances of being targeted by hackers, as they can’t exactly attack someone they can’t get information about. Lastly, you’ll be able to defeat all kinds of geo-blocks, not just the ones Netflix has.

Which country has all Harry Potter movies on Netflix?

You can conveniently find the entire Harry Potter franchise on Netflix in a few countries – Australia and Italy.

Although all Netflix users go to www.netflix.com, they are redirected to the version of Netflix available in their country (as determined) by their IP address. The libraries of different Netflix versions have different content. That’s why you need to have a VPN on hand.

When is Harry Potter coming to Netflix US?

Unfortunately, there is no information as to when, if ever, the Harry Potter series will be available on Netflix US.

It’s not that the platform doesn’t want them. The movies are not there due to copyright (dis)agreements, and there’s only so much a streaming platform can do about that.

For this reason, the most rational solution is not waiting for something that may not happen but investing in a reliable VPN provider.

Which Harry Potter movies are available on Netflix in 2024?

As we mentioned, Harry Potter movies are not on Netflix US. However, you can access them with a reliable VPN service that unblocks this streaming platform in multiple countries.

Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts (2022)

A new addition is joining the Harry Potter franchise with the upcoming “Return to Hogwarts” special. The film features members of the cast getting together in the old movie sets and reminiscing about their experiences while filming the world-renowned franchise. It’s available to stream online on HBO Max only.

However, fans across the globe are distraught to hear that HBO Max is only available in the United States due to geo-blocking.

Thankfully, you can watch the movie from anywhere without the help of any forbidden magic. Instead, you simply need to get a VPN for HBO Max and a subscription to the streaming service. With the two ingredients combined, you can cast a spell that will nullify any geographical restrictions in your home country!

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001)

The first movie introduces us to Harry and his best friends, Ron and Hermione. All three of them face a challenge that not every first-year would handle – saving the Sorcerer’s Stone from the most powerful dark wizard Voldemort.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002)

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is about getting to know Voldemort better. In this movie, Harry discovers Tom Ridley’s diary that takes him back to the days the Dark Lord was just like him – an orphan boy studying at Hogwarts.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004)

In the third movie, we learn more about Harry’s parents and their friends. One of them is Harry’s godfather, a recent escapee from Azkaban prison.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005)

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire takes us to the wizarding tournament. This is the most intense film out of the first four – Harry witnesses the death of one of his friends.

Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix (2007)

Harry has to manage his psychological issues, monstrous Headmistresses, and leading a Dumbledore army in the fifth movie. As if that’s not enough, there is a fight at the end with tragic consequences.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2009)

In the sixth movie, Harry gets a chance to spend more time with Dumbledore to help him on a secret mission to destroy the so-called Horcruxes. We also witness a lot of drama between Ron and Hermione and Draco’s internal struggles.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 (2010)

This one is the beginning of the end. Our favorite trio is forced to run away and continue their mission to destroy the remaining Horcruxes. There is a lot of loss in this film, some of it heartbreaking.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 (2011)

The last one brings us to the war between Good and Evil. With the help of his friends and teachers, Harry fights the Death Eaters, and in the end, he raises his wand against Voldemort for the last time.

Is Fantastic Beasts on any service?

Many HP fans are wondering what streaming service has the Fantastic Beasts movies. You’ll be happy to know that several platforms have these films. While the UK ITVX service recently added the first two movies, the third one is available only on Max (HBO Max) that currently has the entire Fantastic Beasts franchise.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016)

Unfortunately, you won’t find Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them on Netflix. Instead, it’s available in the UK on ITVX. You can also find the movie on Max (formerly HBO Max) in the US.

This is the film about Newt Scamander – a wizard interested in magical creatures and their protection. After coming to New York, Newt realizes something very wrong is happening in the city. And, of course, he gets involved in this madness with some of the new friends he’s made.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald (2018)

Sadly, you also can’t watch this movie on Netflix. It’s available in the United Kingdom on the free streaming service ITVX. Other streaming service that offer this movie is Max (US).

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald follows our favorite characters from the first movie, but the team gets separated this time. In the meantime, many dark secrets are brought back to the surface.

Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore (2022)

The Secrets of Dumbledore movie is available on Max (HBO Max) with the rest of the Fantastic Beats movies.

The third installment of the Fantastic Beasts prequels is set several years after the previous movie. As Grindelwald threatens to eliminate all Muggles with his newfound army of followers, Dumbledore tasks Newt Scamander as his friends to stop Grindelwald’s plans before any harm can be done.

Can’t find Harry Potter on Netflix?

So, you followed the instructions down to a T – got a VPN, connected to the correct region, opened Netflix, yet the Harry Potter movies still aren’t there. Do not fret, dear readers, this is a minor VPN problem you can easily fix in a few steps.

  • Change the server. Netflix is no stranger to blocking VPN IP addresses if the system catches an influx of people coming from the same address. You probably stumbled on a blacklisted one while picking a server. Simply connect to another one and try again.
  • Clear web cookie cache. Those streaming via a browser should always delete their web cookie cache as it contains information about your actual location. The platform can easily detect them and bar you from entering your desired foreign library.
  • Check for IP & DNS leaks. IP addresses and DNS requests disclose your true whereabouts as well. If any of them are visible, you won’t be able to circumvent geo-blocks. You can perform leak tests on such websites as ipleak.net and dnsleaktest.com.
  • Disable GPS tracking. Mobile users should turn off GPS location tracking on their phones as this could also be interfering with the efforts to change the Netflix region. The only thing visible to the system should be your VPN IP address.
  • Install new TAP drivers. If you’ve tried setting up several different VPNs on your router, the TAP drivers might’ve gotten corrupted in the process. These are crucial for the VPN to work in the first place, so you’ll have to delete the current ones and download a fresh batch.

The steps outlined above did not help? Now would be the time to contact your VPN provider’s customer support for further troubleshooting tips. And in the case professionals can’t solve the problem, maybe it’s time to switch to a service that doesn’t cause unnecessary headaches. Like NordVPN.

Bottom line

Licensing restrictions make it difficult to watch the Harry Potter movies from anywhere. Thankfully, a VPN has the power to alter your geographical location and unlock the films no matter where you are. However, you have to pick the best VPN service if you wish to circumvent geographical limitations effectively.

                Hello again, Riske 🙂
It seems you have quite a few VPN subscriptions! My guess would be that NordVPN and CyberGhost connected you to the local library and not the one in Turkey. I’d advise trying different servers and probably even different browsers. If Netflix detects that you’re using a VPN, you won’t even be able to login to your account. Good luck!
